Welcome to Stavkroa
Deep in the mountains of Norway, lies the Valley of Love, Hemsedal. The birthplace of Stavkroa Afterski. Voted the worlds' best afterski several times, you can expect an evening filled with laughter, love, colours, and joy. Let's get this party started!
Stavkroa is a three stories high multi-concept venue with five different clubs. Located in the heart of Hemsedal Skiresort, it hosts legendary aprés-ski, or afterski as it is called in Norway, every weekend throughout the winter season. With five different venues, you are guaranteed to find something for your liking no matter what age you are, what music you like, what kind of food you want, or what kind of experience you are looking for!
The Stavkroa building is built as a traditional Norwegian "stave" church with a 20 meters high ceiling and a state-of-the-art light- and sound system. Our legendary resident Micke DJ will get you close to the roots of the Viking-area and will make you party like you just conquered a village!
It all started in 1989 when two wildcards with a vision from Fredrikstad decided to pack up and move to a small valley called Hemsedal. Here they started the historical and legendary Hemsedal Cafe, or "Cafeen."
